Church Restoration Project
Munich
About This Opportunity
The Church Restoration Project is a community-driven initiative aimed at preserving and restoring historic churches across Germany. This particular project focuses on St. Peter's Church in Munich, one of the oldest parish churches in the city with a history dating back to the 12th century.
Over the centuries, the church has suffered damage from weather, pollution, and general wear. Our restoration efforts include cleaning stonework, repairing damaged areas, restoring wooden elements, and helping to preserve delicate artwork and stained glass windows.
This volunteer opportunity is perfect for those interested in history, architecture, art conservation, or anyone who wants to contribute to preserving Germany's cultural heritage. No prior experience is necessary for most tasks, as training and guidance will be provided by professional conservators and restoration experts.
