Youth Mentorship Program
Hamburg
About This Opportunity
The Youth Mentorship Program at St. Nicholas Church Community Center pairs adult volunteers with young people aged 12-18 for regular mentoring sessions. This program aims to provide guidance, support, and positive role models for youth in our community.
As a mentor, you'll meet with your mentee regularly to help with homework, discuss faith and values, develop life skills, and simply be a supportive presence in their life. Mentors and mentees are matched based on shared interests, compatibility, and the specific needs of the young person.
The program runs throughout the year, with a minimum commitment of six months. Mentors typically meet with their mentees once a week for 1-2 hours. The community center provides a safe, supervised environment for these meetings, as well as structured activities and resources to support the mentoring relationship.
This volunteer opportunity is perfect for individuals who are passionate about youth development, education, and faith formation. By becoming a mentor, you'll have the chance to make a significant and lasting impact on a young person's life, while also growing in your own faith and leadership skills.
